Behind the work
Volunoctis is the personal creative studio of Elios Noctis — a quiet space for writing, photography, poetry, and code, kept under one roof.
Etymology From the Latin volun (will) and noctis (of the night) — most of these works are made during the dark hours.
The name frames how I work: across disciplines, in the long hours, in the company of small details. Each section here is its own room — and each one is connected to the others.
Photographs, mostly of cities at hours when no one's looking. Poems and short prose, posted slowly. Software, when a problem won't let me sleep. The work isn't separated by domain — it's separated by mood.
Writing the second chapter on Substack. Building small tools that solve specific irritations. Walking more than I take photos. Reading Berger, Carson, Strand.
